Show #64 Febraury 19, 2010

This week on The Revolution...Frances Nelson of the NZEI the national union for primary school teachers. As teachers and parents across the country try to put the breaks on standardized testing for kids we ask what is really going on. ACT's Heather Roy is talking about choice and vouchers, sounds like privitization. Appealing to the reactionary sentiments of disengaged parents National wants to create a new managerial level of bureaucracy to do some bean counting and make it look like they are doing something. Oh has anyone mentioned that public spending on education has been frozen if not cut over the last 10 years? This looks alot like the 4th season of The Wire.
