Yo, a question for Mr Chomsky:

What do you think of Barack Obama - he's being held up as the 'saviour', the solution to all of America's and the world's problems. Can he or will he really "change" that much?

Here are some ideas for you:

-He's praised Reagan for railing against the 'excesses' of the 60-70s
-His first speech as the Democratic nominee was to AIPAC where he said that Jerusalem most remain the capital of Israel 'undivided'
-His convention speech was all about 'individual responsibility'
-His chief economic advisor wrote an academic article "Wal-Mart: A Progressive Success Story"

Obama is centrist, he's no lefty BUT, maybe if the American progressives get their act together they can pull him leftwards.
